To figure out the mystery to the motor I basically just turned it on. I noticed the way it spun with the power cords in each position. No matter the way the cords are hooked up, the same thing happens. I figured that the motor works by magnetizing the four tubes (solenoids). The end result is that as 2 or 3 approaches 1 or 4, it is given a magnetic field that is opposite to that of 1 or 4. Therefore, the two are attracted to each other. As the moving solenoids line up with the other solenoids, the metal things on top of 5 reverse the c ....
