Wichman,1988). In simple terms it means that the digital circuitry samples the
signal and then reproduces what it has seen. The quality of the recording
depends on the sampling rate of the machine. The sampled signal is then encoded
to the tape or disc in 1's and 0's, just like a computer disk drive would encode
information. However, the biggest advantage of digital recording is the fact
that it eliminates tape "hiss" that is usually found present in analogue
recordings.
In the Eighties, a Philips invention captured the limeli .....

Comparison Between Piano Concert By Barbara Wieman And Sacramento Chamber Orchestra
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 1008.... and there was an
effective use of rests that was displayed. I would call this piece very serious.
After Beethoven we were treated to F. Schuberts Impromptu in G flat Major, Op.
90, No.3. This piece was very pleasing to the ear so we could call this
consonant. The music seemed to flow and had a great rhythm. This piece was
romantic in nature and probably that is why it was written in the romantic era.
C. Debussy ‘s Feux d'artifice (fireworks) was the next piece played. The
harmony was very obscured in this piece of music. The theme trying to be
presented in this piece was .....

Included in the string quartet there are the first and second violins, a viola, and a cello. A quartet does not have a conductor like the symphony does, but they didn't need one because they weren't intended to be played for many people. Mozart and Haydn were known for having "jam sessions" in Mozart's apartment. An rarely known fact is that Haydn is the creator of this genre, not Mozart.
Sonatas are multi-movement works that are for a solo instrument or an instr .....

The Blues
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1362.... have origins in West African musical traditions. Cross-rhythms are multitudinously used in and are the foundation of West African drumming. The most common way of creating this beat was by separating the melodic line from the groundbeat, putting the two in rhythmic conflict. To do so, the musician would sing or play in a manner that emphasized the off beat. The second main innovation was the way musicians expressed rising emotions with falling pitch by bending or flattening certain notes with one’s voice or instruments. This technique produced “blue notes”, which were also pr .....

History Of Rock And Roll
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1686.... This could most be seen in the movie Back to the
Future. In the late sixties however a new type of rock emerged.
Led by four young British men known as Paul, John, George and Ringo
this music was more like the gateway from Elvis Presley to Jimi Hendrix.
Known as the Beatles they stole the hearts of millions of teenage girls
with songs such as Michelle and Julia. If you were lucky enough to have
one of those names you were idolized for life.
This new type of Rock and Roll, sometimes referred to as Hippie
Music is probably the most well known because of the unique use .....

Music Censorship
Number of pages: 14 | Number of words: 3824.... listening to one of their
"questionable" albums, it is easily noticeable how they thrive off of it. All
of these performers do have one thing in common, at one time or another,
censorship made them victims because of their social unacceptable actions or
the content of their music and lyrics. While censorship is slightly more
realistic and open-minded (no more censoring performers from the waist down,
like Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show), it still affects listeners and
their choice of music quite significantly. Although the government, music
associations, and other vari .....

The Consumer And The Gimmick
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1192.... but the best from our favorite bands. Once we have what we want it's
not long before we want more. This is because we consume the musicians' talents
like a fast food happy meal. We open the box, take out the toy, throw away the
contents, and then bitch about being hungry. When we do this we always say,
"It's a cool song, but they are a one hit wonder." We the hungry consumer do
not give the bands a chance to show their true musical talents. One example
involves the group Verve Pipe and their hit song "The Freshman." This songs LP
was out in December. No one noticed .....
