Antigone: Who Is The Strongest Tragic Figure?

In his play, Antigone, Sophocles’s depiction of Creon proves him to
be the strongest candidate for a Greek tragedy. Through his presentation
of hubris, error in judgment, and realization of downfall, Creon posses the
majority of characteristics necessary in being a central tragic figure.
One may suspect Antigone represents the tragic .... Middle of paper .... glory best in the scene where she and Ismene are sentenced to death but
Antigone will not let her sister die. We can see Antigone has hubris but
her character is not developed enough to see her display of arrogance
steadily throughout the play as we can see in Creon.
