Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening: An Analysis

The speaker of the poem needs to continue on his journey but the peacefulness of the snowy woods prolongs his departure. My intention with this essay is to show the contrast between the speakers desire to observe the snowy woods and his obligation to continue his journey to the village.

For instance, the topic of the poem is about a snowy evening in the woods, which could be viewed as pleasant and easy going as oppose to a hot summer evening in the city which is most often busy and frantic with lots of things to do. In addition, the speaker is obviously a loner, in that he takes this journey by his self. That is an example of him being a solitary person who is not confronted with conflict often. ....
