Romeo And Juliet: Feud Between The Families

After reading William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, one concludes that the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets includes the entire families of both households, not only the young men. The feud, being a shared hatred between both families, is so bad that just the sight of either family would provoke a brawl that may even lea .... Middle of paper .... seen in the older family members. At this point old Capulet says, “What noise is this, give me my long sword (I/i/73).” “My sword, I say! Old Montague has come and flourishes his blade in front of me (I/i/75).”
