J.D. Salinger's Personal Life
Beginning of paper
Lots of people have asked me for "the goodies" on JDS' personal life.
Frankly, I don't understand why. Because so many have asked, and keep
asking, I thought I'd put down my reasons. Remember, though, that this
isn't a monarchy. It's not even a democracy. It's just my opinion. Please
feel free to disagree.
My main reason to respect Sali .... Middle of paper
.... his whole life to public scrutiny, and that is not an easy
thing to do. I refuse to chip away at that shell. Besides, who cares about
his old loves and trips to Europe and family problems and all? That's what
fiction is for, after all!
So, some ask, why do I reveal the 22 "missing" stories and the titles of so
many others? I do it because that IS part of what he has given the world.
He chose to share those with us and they are good e ....
