Beginning of paper
My writing career began when I was twelve and I wrote a book of poems that I wished to be published. My teacher denied my request, explaining to me that I was already too arrogant and that I did not need my self esteem elevated any higher.
The next poem that I wrote was called “To Helen”, and it was written for my “mother”, Mrs. Stana .... Middle of paper

After leaving the army, I drafted a poem dubbed “Al Aaraaf.” Carey, Lea and Carey decided that they would publish it if Allan gave his consent and guaranteed that if it was not a success that he would pay them back. He did not want to do this however, so they would not publish it.
