Number of pages: 6 | Number of words: 1408.... began. Before the movement, blacks had almost no
political power due to laws designed to prevent blacks from voting, like poll
taxes, literacy tests and the Grandfather Clause. Also when some blacks went to
vote, people simply wouldn't let them register. Due to lack of voting ability,
no blacks were elected into office and therefore, blacks had no say in the
government. Also, blacks were not allowed to serve on juries, yet they were
almost always found guilty in court, even if the evidence was clearly against
them. For example, years ago a boy in Georgia broke into a school to .....

History Of Greek Theater
Number of pages: 9 | Number of words: 2232.... In Greek tragedy, suffering brought knowledge of worldly
matters and of the individual. Aristotle attempted to explain how an
audience could observe tragic events and still have a pleasurable
experience. Aristotle, by searching the works of writers of Greek
tragedy, Aeschulus, Euripides and Sophocles (whose Oedipus Rex he
considered the finest of all Greek tragedies), arrived at his
definition of tragedy. This explanation has a profound influence for
more than twenty centuries on those writing tragedies, most
significantly Shakespeare. Aristotle's .....

Roman Pantomime
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1924.... wore a mask, and expressed himself through dance, but did not sing. Rather, a musical group or chorus accompanied the pantomime. This type of performance is usually likened to a ballet enactment with a mythical theme. The pantomime usually tended to appeal to higher tastes with its mythical themes but as Grimal implies, could also be comic and erotic.
In his discussion of pantomime, Lucian of Samosata (ca. 125 – 180) notes that the pantomime represents the orator and the composer of declamations. Lucian claims that the success of the pantomime depends upon his skillful adadp .....

ignorant and the decision he made to take the witness stand proved it. Brady did not know how
much Drummond knew about the Bible but instead he believed all the rumors he heard about
Drummond be agnostic.
Brady thought everything in the Bible should be taken literally a .....

war.
In the second stanza Owen is describing a gas attack on the soldiers as they are trudging
back to camp. Owen describes the soldiers fumbling to get their mask fastened, all but one, a
lone soldier. He is struggling to get his mask on but doesn’t get it fastened quick enough and
suffers from the full effects of deadly gas:
Gas! Gas! Quick boys!-An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ .....
