The Tempest: Calibans Instincts
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 753.... responds to Montaignes essay through the primeval character of Caliban. Caliban and his overwhelming animal instincts are Shakespeares response. From the beginning of the play Caliban is molded as a monster. The son of the evil witch Sycorax, Caliban is Prosporos¹ servant. It is not that Caliban is a monster as much as Caliban is simply animalistic. Once Caliban tried to rape Miranda, Prosporos¹ daughter, Prosporo lost hope of taming Caliban and started treating him more like the animal he truly was. It seems that in this one act of Calibans he revealed to Prosporo the an .....

Television - In Living Color
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1244.... power of television comes from three specific
areas: an inordinate amount of time spent in front of the television,
it's ability to target a specific audience, and it's ability to attack the
viewer on both the auditory and visual field.
The time spent in front of a television continues to grow with each
generation. The number of hours a child spends in front of a television
is rapidly overtaking even the number of hours that they will spend in
school. Included in their weekly television viewing are an extraordinary
amount of commercial messages. Before entering school, y .....

Romeo & Juliet: Friar Lawrence Is Good Intentioned
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 622.... will end the hostilities between the two houses. When he says
"Shall Romeo by my letters know our drift, and hither shall he come; and
he and I shall watch thy waking, and that very night shall Romeo bear thee
to Mantua." (Act 4, Scene 1), he tells Juliet how everything will be all
right. Unfortunately, for all his good intentions the play still ends in
tragedy.
Friar Lawrence is a man who is not afraid to take risks when he feels it is
neccesary to help someone. For example in Act 2, Scene 6, when he marries
Romeo and Juliet, he is risking his reputation as a Friar so he .....

After he meets Juliet his love for Rosaline disappears and a new and different love appears.

Jewish Art
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 490.... art. It seems to me that this
helped her to become such a good artist
Her focus was mainly on very well known Jewish objects. Some of these
include Menorahs, Sadaka boxes, and Mezuzahs. These where very evident part of
her slide show. All of them were very obscure and odd looking but each told a
storyf which only she knew. At first glance they were not so great but after her
explanation they became beautiful.
Her idea of creating new rituals for our religion through art really
striked me. I found her ideas to be very interesting because it was som

Movie Analysis: Species And Species II
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 389.... zooming is very good, and the sound effects are right on cue.
Species set the standard for movies like SPECIES II, and it is a
really good movie. It actually gets funny, and except for one guy, the
acting is very well done. The only problem is that somewhere in the
Chicago city (where it was supposed to be based) they found a cave,
complete with stalectytes. It also contained a pool of acid, that caught
on fire for no reason. Other than that, this was one of the best movies
I've ever, EVER seen.

Romeo saw a beautiful girl dancing with Paris and instantly fell in love with
her. He asked a servingman what her name was but he didn't know.
"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
As rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear-
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder lady o'er her fellows s .....

Television Shows Reflect American Culture

during a summer vacation to the mid-West. The friend shot himself by accident;
what followed was a time of mourning for David and a recollection of many fond
memories of the times they shared together. This episode's tragedy brought the
characters in the show closer together.
Many innocent children, and sometimes adults, are killed accidentally
playing with guns, or by drive-by random shootings. This is a major problem in
the United States and the show is trying to get the message out that it is not a
safe thing to do. It also raises th .....
