As Romeo becomes overwhelmed with Mercutio's death and Tybalt's joy over it, he suddenly declares that either he or Tybalt must die with Mercutio (III, I, 128). Tybalt responds predictably and threatens Romeo (III, I, 129). Romeo takes the threat, then fights Tybalt until Tybalt is finally killed. When Tybalt dies, Romeo suddenly comes to grips with what he has done, and, unable to believ .....

.... Cassio asking for Desdemona's help leads to the two of them being seen together, which is in act three scene three line 35. In the end of the play, Cassio becomes the governor in Cyprus after the former Governor, Othello, commits suicide, in act five scene two from line 366-378, which shows another of his functions, to act as one of the means which ties up the loose ends at the end of the play. Now, Roderigo. Roderigo is a foolish, cheated, gulled, dimwit. Basically, his function in the play is to act as a lackey towards Iago. His obedience towards Iago can .....

It is not uncommon for one to think of better times at low points in their life in order to cheer themselves up so that they are able to deal with the problems they encounter, but Willy Lowman takes it one step further. His refusal to accept reality is so strong that in his mind he is transported back in time to relive one of the happier days of his lif .....

.... the hardships of war wear a man down. The stresses of everyday things at work get to us but the stresses of battle must be and uncountable times worse. Othello seemed to be and was mentioned as a good leader with the respect of the Duke. The stresses of being a black man leading an army of white soldiers that might respect you as a leader but might not respect you as a human would affect you also. Othello seemed to handle the stresses of war just fine but with the jealousy added into his life by the most evil Iago's plot against him and Cassio was something .....

.... the marriage will end the hostilities between the two houses. When he says "Shall Romeo by my letters know our drift, and hither shall he come; and he and I shall watch thy waking, and that very night shall Romeo bear thee to Mantua." (Act 4, Scene 1), he tells Juliet how everything will be all right. Unfortunately, for all his good intentions the play still ends in tragedy. Friar Lawrence is a man who is not afraid to take risks when he feels it is neccesary to help someone. For example in Act 2, Scene 6, when he marries Romeo and Juliet, he is risking his reputatio .....

Instead of appointing Iago who had plenty of experience on the battlefield, Othello appoints "a great arithmetician, one Michael Cassio, a Florentine . . . that never set a squadron on the field" (1.1.19-22). Michael Cassio was more of an intellectual type, a book learner, and a student of military science. Iago only proves good at fighting, whereas Cassio has the tactical knowledge to effectively lead and win in battle.
