Understanding The Misunderstood Art From Different Cultures

in reaction is based upon religious upbringing, and nothing more. To certain
culture, a smiling monkey is the scariest thing they could ever imagine, and to
another, it means laughter. A close minded person viewing an ancient religious

art would see the beauty of that culture and it's beliefs, and would try to

Macbeth: Macbeth A Murderer?

“A Doll’s House”: The Theme Of Individual Vs. Society

Violence On Television

watching TV. The Addict lives hand to mouth from the potato chip bag. He is
lazy and will often go for hours without moving from the television.
If the Addict is not glued in front of the TV, he is most likely to be
found paging through his latest issue of TV guide, carefully selecting the shows
which he will watch that week and marking them off with a highlighter. On an
average day the Addict will come home from work or school, put off all
responsibilities, and escape into the world of TV. In this world, the Addict

Antigone: Changing Views Of The Chorus

The chorus's next appearance blatantly shows their biased attitudes
against Antigone and her exiled father Oedipus. At this point they still

The Tempest: Bringing It All Together

audience.
All of what Prospero has said is very nice cute, but the most
interesting part of this monologue is what Shakespeare himself is saying. "Now
that my charms are all o'erthrown, and what strength I have's mine own" means,
now my plays are over, and it's no longer my characters speaking. The
"Island" or stage Shakespeare is on is now "bare" and it is time for "you" the
audience to release Shakespeare and his actors from this play with the "help of

Oedpius: Justice...

Oedipus does not try to defend his actions. In fact he blames
himself as quoted from the story "Light of the sun, let me look upon you no
more after today! I who first saw you the light bred of a match accursed,

All My Sons: Miller's Chief Criticism Of American Society

general values money and profit more than human life. He shows this by his
portrayal of Keller. Keller ships out cracked cylinder heads, aware that in
flight they will cause planes to crash, to save his business from being
shut down. Furthermore, he goes on to allow the blame to fall on Steve, in
order to save himself from going to jail, even though Steve was not the
only one guilty. Keller tries to rationalize his actions by saying that he
committed this heinous act for the benefit of his family- so that they will
