Hamlet: The Theme Of Having A Clear Conscience
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 727.... with
his recently wed mother and uncle reflect the uneasiness he feels. He feels
betrayed. "O, most wicked speed, to post, with such dexterity to incestuous
sheets. . . but break my heart, for I must hold my tounge." (I, ii, 156-159).
Hamlet's conscience tells him what is wrong-in this case, the hasty marriage-but
he is ambivalent as to how to approach it; before he meets the ghost, silence is
his method. When Hamlet meets his father's ghost however, he feels sure of
himself, and knows what he must do. As a result of the dialogue with the ghost,
Hamlet's conscienc .....

Shakespeare's "Henry IV": Summary
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 813.... of his time drinking in the tavern. Hal likes to hang
out with Falstaf because he is funny and outspoken. Hal and Falstaf could
make fun of each other and call each other names and that wont bother them.
For instance when the prince started calling Falstaf, “This bed-presser,
this horse-back-breaker, this huge hill of flesh”. Then Falstaf came back
by saying, “Sblood, you starveling, you eel-skin, you dried neat's- tongue,
you bull's pizzle, you stock-fish,--O for breath to utter what is like
thee!-you tailor's-yard, you sheath, you bow-case, you vile standing tuck!”

"Roseanne And The Kiss"
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1291.... made it more
acceptable to be gay in the media. From the billboard I saw, to Roseanne's now
(in)famous kiss with another woman. Roseanne has contributed to this trend
immensely with her television sitcom.
To begin with, the series Roseanne has had gay characters on it for a
long time. Roseanne's boss Leon was gay, and after “the kiss” his role on the
show became more outspoken as he got married to his lover in the season after
Roseanne kissed another woman.
In the 1994, Roseanne had a homosexual encounter with another woman
played by Mariel Hemingway in a gay bar. The .....

Grease: Theme
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 504.... race. Better yet, it has a sense of humor about those days, to the point of including ultimate icon Frankie Avalon in the "Beauty School Dropout" dream sequence.
That brings up the main draw of GREASE -- the music. As I type this, at least one Top 40 station across the country is playing the "Grease Megamix," a medley of the three most popular songs from the movie ("You're the One That I Want," "Greased Lightning" and "Summer Nights"). Travolta and Newton-John's songs in the film have become karaoke favorites, and the movie soundtrack is actually back in the upper reaches of .....

Movie: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 1038.... the
Emperor's court. When he heard Mozart was coming to Vienna from Salzburg, he
eagerly sought him out. He finally found him at a party, way from the other
guests, acting like a silly animal, chasing a young woman. However, as soon as
he heard his music starting without him, he changed into a serious musician,
rushing to take his place as conductor. Salieri noticed that Mozart conducted
without notes. Although he recognized that Mozart was a ‘giggling, dirty-minded
creature', he was also able to see the genius in him. He couldn't understand why
God had chosen a ‘obscene chil .....

The Crucible: John Proctor Is A Tragic Hero
Number of pages: 6 | Number of words: 1446.... of John Proctor. It was essential
that Proctor be viewed as the so called "good guy" in the plot, one who
stands out or the audience can relate to. He is described as a "farmer in
his middle thirties" with a " powerful body" and a "steady manner", and is
already being established as the protagonist in which we sympathize
with.(p.19) Miller's choice to describe him in such a fashion is very
significant. By describing the tragic hero as a "strong, steady, farmer"
the dramatic effect is even greater. Who else better to fall victim to his
own personal freedom and the fear .....

The Crucible: Deterioration Of Social Order In Salem
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 829.... did not agree with the
appointment of Mr. Parris as the newest minister, and therefore did not have
his last child baptized. With the latest craze of witchery and swirling
accusations, John Proctor was easily indicted of being a messenger for the
devil by the testimony of his disillusioned servant Mary Warren, who in the
past committed perjury. The court who heard the testimony easily accepts it
because she is a church going person, while John Proctor slightly deviates from
the norm. This transfer of blame is also noticeable when the truth is first
discovered about what the gi .....

Who Is The Tragic Hero In Antigone?
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 615.... many people believe the
Antigone is the rightful protagonist.
Many critics argue that Creon is the tragic hero of Antigone.
They say that his noble quality is his caring for Antigone and Ismene when
thier father was persecuted. Those who stand behind Creon also argue that
Antigone never had a true epiphany, a key element in being a tragic hero.
Creon, on the other hand, realized his mistake when Teiresias made his
prophecy. He is forced to live, knowing that three people are dead
because of his ignorance, which is a punishment worse than death.
My opinion o .....
