Old stories portrayed them as "blood-thirsty murders" that poisoned wells and killed Christian children for their bizarre Passover ritu! als. (Stirling 2:1) These were the stereotypes which Shakespeare's audience held in regard to Jews. Shakespeare himself had never seen a Jew but he goes to great lengths to humanize Shylock even while perpetuating the stereoty .....

At this point a brief synopsis of the movie would seem to be in order, with special attention as to how it relates to The Tempest. Finally, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are talking in the scene just before the murder of Banquo and Macbeth says "Light thickens, and the crow makes wing to the rooky wood: Good things of day begin to droop and drowse, whiles night's black agents to their preys do rouse" (3. 2. l50-53). He is a really gullible person, for example he was tricked by Iago; thinking that Desdemona was really having an affair with Cassio. “ ` Did he confess it?'” (134). He trusts Iago too much and totally relies on Iago therefore making him really vulnerable to Iago's evilish schemes. Othello's gullibility causes him to be jealous. He let's his jealousy take over, he looses control of himself and acts on his jealous emotions, he let's his jealousy clutter his mind and good judgment. “`Damn her, lewd minx! For the remaining hour I choose to look at THE TONIGHT SHOW, with Jay Leno. Between these shows there are many similarities and many differences.
