Eventually it becomes apparent to Huck that the Grangerfords are feuding with a neighboring household, the Sheperdsons, this seems to be the central angle Twain uses to satire. The two chapters dealing with the Grangerford and Sheperdson feud allow Twain to satire aspects of civilized culture. The main aspect he satirizes is the feud itself. The Grangerfords being the representatives of civilization, Twain reveals the senseless brutality and needless manslaughter involved in their arbitrary concept of honor. .....

.... the racist remarks towards the natives. Racism is portrayed in Conrad's book, but a reader must know that back in the eighteen hundreds society didn't understand racism towards "Blacks". Conrad's critics would have never called Conrad a racist, during his time, but rather a great story teller who is kind hearted to "Blacks". Conrad constantly referred to the natives, in his book, as black savages, niggers, brutes, and "them", displaying what we see as racism toward the African people. Conrad wrote, "Black figures strolled out listlessly… the beaten nigger groaned somewhe .....

.... the book, "The Lord of the Flies" by William Golding. Because of the war in England where the boys were from their human experience was one of war. If there was no war going on in England at the time they were evacuated from England, there would've been no deaths, no Lord of the Flies, and certainly no beast. Because if they had came with a good human nature then how would there have been a beast which Golding classified as the basic evil inside all of us. Another thing that ties in with this that children try to copy what they see adults do so if a child sees an adult .....

.... than to go to bed. From her dialogue with Brutus Portia reveals, that Brutus is indeed, a pompous self-centered man and that they have an un-pleasant relationship. Calpurnia plays a similar role in the story. She reveals an un-clear part of Caesar. Calpurnia shows Caesars' vague suppositious trait. Until the conversation with calpurnia, Caesar never directly admitted to being suppositious. He always added something in front of his superstitions. However, when calpurnia had the bad dream, she convinced him not to go to the senate. Her conversation also throws light on his cha .....

.... not possibly live apart. At Catherine's death, Heathcliff hopes that she will not rest, but will haunt him until he dies. This absurdity contradicts the traditional norm that one should pray that the dead rest in peace. Near the end of the novel, we learn that Catherine has haunted Heathcliff, allowing him only fleeting glances of her. This shows that despite their physical separation, nothing can part them spiritually. When Heathcliff dies and unites with Catherine once again, the neighbors see them haunt the moors.
