In telling us his story about the “great man,” Jay Gatsby, he goes to quite a length in establishing a credibility which is essential for the story. His reflection on his upbringing, particularly his “advantages,” as his father called them, those being his spiritual and moral values only work to build upon his credibility. For example, by saying that his upbringing provided him with the moral fibre and that conseq .....

Unfortunately for Celie, her life continues to be filled with abusive people. Her stepfather marries her off to Mr. ____, who does not love her, respect her or treat her with any decency whatsoever. He just wants her to take care of him and his kids. .....

By killing Lennie while Lennie is thinking about his favorite place, a place of his own and filled with furry rabbits. This way Lennie will be happy when he dies, and George would not be hurting him. George is smart and loving at the same time. He just can't live to see his friend to suffer and to be confuse by all the pain so he kills Lennie for his own good. This character is so astonishing. .... of characters the author portrayed. The most in depth character of all is Mr. Jay Gatsby in this novel. He is left a very obscure individual and much is not known about him until he reveals it to Nick. One thing Tom Buchanan finds out about Gatsby is the he is a swindler and that is how he has amassed his fortune. The main character is Nick Carraway a man who objectively stays the same through out the whole book, keeping his friendship with Gatsby to the very end. This book wouldn't be the same if not for the Giant house that Gatsby lived in. Most of the novel .....
