Scarlet Letter- Hester Prynne
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 684.... 179). Hawthorne used ironies of fallen women and female criminals to achieve the perfect combination of different types of heroines. His heroines are equipped to expel wrongs against their sex bringing about an awareness of both the rights and wrongs of women. Hester is a compound of many popular stereotypes rich in the thoughts of the time ...portrayed as a fallen woman whose honest sinfulness is found preferable to the future corruption of the reverend (Reynolds 183). Hester was described by Reynolds as a feminist criminal bound in an iron link of mutual crime (Reynolds 1 .....

I think the protagonist in the story is Atticus Finch because he has the

Southern Alabama. The time is the early 1930s, the years of the G .....

This quote vividly depicts the man-beast Cerberus that Dante encountered, and allows the reader to feel present in the scene with Dante. breeches were all folded and sewn up”(pg 63) When Boo sewed Jem's breeches
together, this was a sign from Boo to let the children realize what a kind and
pleasant man he really was. Also, Boo was considerate enough to save Jem from a
couple of whippings, because after all, if Atticus were to see the torn pants he
would have known Jem was the culprit in the Radley's yard. “You were so busy
looking at the fire, you didn't notice Boo behind you”(pg 76) This was also a
symbol which Boo shared to let the kids slowly realize the truth about him, that
he was an in .....

"The Big, The Good, The Ugly"
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 522.... his life.
Another scene that helps out with the similarities of the two titles is C.D.'s and Cyrano's living conditions. Cyrano lived with the soldiers in the quarters, and had very little spending money. C.D. lived with the Firemen most of the time, he also as a fireman did not make that much money. The contrast of the living styles helps out with the reader and viewers point of views because most people who are "ugly" can still do very well in life in terms of opposite sex relations if they have good jobs and lots of money. C.D. and Cyrano did not make lots of money and .....
