Creative Story: The Lake

smelled like mother-nature herself, with aromas ranging from wildlife and wet
grass, to evaporated swamp water and healthy dirt.
Then, the time for us to find the desired vessel arrived. We chose the
kayaks, and set out for the water. Carefully, with our torn-jeans rolled up,
and shirts off, we dragged the massive thing over the slope of grass and mud
into the shallow stream. We then hopped aboard, grabbed the paddles, and
floated and splashed into nowhere. The wavy current sucked us downstream,
periodically bouncing us off of sandbags and sharp branches lean .....

Creative Story: Lonely

printing on it. It simply read, "go look in your mail box". Keith gave out a
small chuckle and thought about his mailbox. Was someone joking around with
him? It was probably that pesky neighbor boy, James. He was always coming up
with something new and unusual to try out on his neighbors. "What the hell",
Keith said aloud. He then stood up and walked over to his mailbox and opened
it up. "Yep, another card", he said. The same small, black print on it too.

The Lesson

Personal Writing: Getting My Driver's License
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 465.... get my license and start driving on my own. It took the instructor
about three weeks to finally have the completion slips signed and ready for
us to take.
The day after they were ready, I got my completion slip and left to
get my driver's license and a new computer (I was actually more eager to
get the computer that day). We go to the mall and all I had to do was take
an eye exam!! I was very surprised, I figured I would at least have to take
a written test over the material covered in the manual. I finally had the
one thing that would change my life forever. I sud .....

Emily Dickinson On Drugs?

me" means that she is worried about dying and she wondered if there is
anything for her after this life. Once again, in her poem "Because I
could not stop for Death," Dickinson is writing about her death, only she's
talking in the past tense like she's already dead. Depression? Withdrawal?
Crack? Will someone please tell me what the hell is wrong with this woman?

The Creation Of The Universe, The Earth, And Human Beings

Creative Writing: Life As A Hummingbird

Personal Writing: What I Learned This Semester In English Class

deserve a "C." Now I have to take my writing more seriously, and try much
harder at producing good output. Also, my goal isn't to write a paper that will
get a good grade. Now, my goal is to write better papers. I write to become a
better writer.
That is, I feel, a very important thing that I learned this semester. I don't
think, "O.K., I have to get at least a B on this paper." Instead, I think,
"O.K., I have to use this assignment to improve my work." This is a much better
approach because it causes the writer to try to produce a well written piec .....
