Battle Royal 2
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 863.... one.
I believe that if the reader were to take a deeper look into all of the symbolism in the story, one would find that the summation of all the symbolism is equal to not only the struggle of this black boy, but the struggle of blacks at the time in which the story takes place. I think that if one were to analyze the grandfathers dying words, one would find the view of most conformist black Americans. The only way for a black person to excel at
that time was to conform to the white society. Any rebels that tried to stand up for their rights were most likely kill .....

Comparison: "The Jade Peony", "Horses Of The Night", Masque Of The Red Death"
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 480.... main problem with this story was the inconsistance of the
sentences, some sentences were too long while others were very short. The only
way to truly fix this story would be to re-write it.
The second story I chose to write about is called "Horses of the Night"
by Margaret Laurence. I did enjoy reading this short story dipite the fact it
seem to jump around alot; it would talk about somthing fairly in-depth then
just suddenly jump to a different subject or time-era of the story. The author
seem to show very good writing ability however so I think perhaps she did this .....

Mrs. Dubose. Even though it was a punishment to make him read to her, he
could have been miserable about it. After a while though he thought it wasn’t
to bad. He was reading to the meanest person, and doing it with no

of Tom Robinson with Scout and Dill. He knew that he wasn’t supposed to
go to it but did anyway, because he wanted .....

Seuss helps the reading process along by making reading fun for children. He uses rhyming words, like in his book Fox in Sox. Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1352.... expression that can be dissimilar while still expressing the same views on the tribulations of African-Americans.
“Harlem (A Dream Deferred)” is short, to the point and opens up Langston Hughes’ world of symbolism. In writing this, Mr. Hughes used symbolism so extensively that when most individuals read it, they do not grasp the true intent of each word. The images that Hughes conveys in Harlem are “sensory, domestic, earthly, like blues images” (Jemie 78). It possesses an aggressive attitude and displays the harsh reality of the world in which colored people live. He uses f .....

Different Changes In Different
Number of pages: 9 | Number of words: 2304.... retained his civilized behaviour. But his experiences on the island gave him a more realistic understanding of the cruelty possessed by some people. The ordeals of the three boys on the island made them more aware of the evil inside themselves and in some cases, made the false politeness that had clothed them dissipate. However, the changes experienced by one boy differed from those endured by another. This is attributable to the physical and mental dissimilarities between them.
Jack was first described with an ugly sense of cruelty that made him naturally unlikeable. As leade .....
