This shows that Macbeth ambition is present before the prophecies. He would never have thought seriously about killing Duncan without the witches. His temptation makes him doing whatever he can to gain power of the throne as prophesied by witches because he thinks the only way .....

's relationship with Ophelia easily spawns such dramatic alterations in the prince's attitude. "You should not have believed me, for virtue cannot so / inoculate our old stock, but we shall relish of it. I loved / you not" (3.1.117-19). A definite change in Boyle’s plot over the course of the two stories however, is the loss in significance and importance of the plot and the take over by setting and character instead. A well-defined thread connecting the two stories are the plot similarities. In both stories, the characters attempt to be what they are not. The plot revolves around this central theme and shows them doing things they aren’t fit t .....
