He cared more for the dream than he did for truth. During his life while the dream was still very much alive, the grass was cared for attentively just as his goals were cared for attentively. After his death, the grass had no one to care for it just like the dream. The grass was just as long and uncared for as Nick's symbolic that Gatsby's dream was just as dead to him now as the dream had been .....

.... In chapter four Huck sees Pap's footprints in the snow. So Huck goes to Jim to ask him why Pap is here. Jim gets a hair-ball that is the size of a fist that he took from an ox's stomach. Jim asks the hair-ball; Why is Pap here? But the hair-ball won't answer. Jim says it needs money, so Huck gives Jim a counterfeit quarter. Jim puts the quarter under the hair-ball. The hair-ball talks to Jim and Jim tells Huck that it says. "Yo'ole father doan' know yit what he's a-gwyne to do. Sometimes he spec he'll go 'way, en den ag'in he spec he'll stay. .....

One overwhelming influence on those that wish to help is Mother Theresa. These individuals doubtless wish to help, but for various reasons do not. When questioned, there is one response that is entirely too common, which is "I can't make a difference." Mother Theresa is a contributing factor to this response. Everyone sees this woman doing so much, they then believe they can never do the same on such a large scale. People become overwhelmed .....

Scott's peregrinations take from his home in Colorado to the slums and bohemian underworld of a Mexican town. There, confronts a seamy and labyrinthine corruption that tries to separate him from the love of his son. , the Father, won't let go, and that's the point. In my humble opinion, the message of the book is that an ultimately moving meditation on the ineffable, unmatchable love .....

.... another, King Lear’s flaw is that of arrogance while Macbeth’s it one of ambition. Some characters may be guilty of harboring many flaws, like Othello. Among Othello’s wrongs are gullibility and stupidity. In either case, the character never realizes ones flaws until act five, however, by that time it is too late (Desjardens). While the tragic flaw is the key element in a tragedy, the tragic hero’s social status is also of high importance. All tragic heroes are from a very noble class. Whether the heroes are Thanes or Generals in the army, like Macbeth, Othello, and Antony .....

.... How many times do you see the names of the students who are trying to make a difference printed in the newspaper compared to the number of times you see our names in the “arrest made” section? It’s bad when children aren’t fortunate enough to be praised for their actions in their own home but they can’t even get it at school anymore. I was recently in a pageant and one of the questions asked was, “ How will your generation be remembered?” According to society we are trouble makers. We are categorized as once again, Alcoholics, druggy’s, and a threat as far as pregnanc .....

Her pride has kept her from socializing with other members of the community thus reinforcing her solitary. But Miss Emily's father is still responsible for her being a hermit.
