Humbled By Nature’s Grandeur
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 689.... my adventure.
The best part of my experience was in the water. We set out to sea around 5:00pm and returned at around 9:00pm. Those four hours were probably the best four hours of my adolescent life. When I was out on the kayak I saw so many killer whales it was unbelievable. We were in the midst of two whale pods numbering about 90 whales. I had heard that killer whales can attack people. Surprisingly, I was not afraid except for the fact of how cold the water was. It was so cold that if our kayak capsized both my father and I would have died in about 10 to 15 minute .....

The Creation Of The Universe
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1818.... that lies deep within ourselves. As
for myself, I cannot believe in a being which created a universe and a multitude
of worlds in a rather short period of time then deigns to lower itself into
becoming a puppet-master and "pulling the strings" of the Earth and all of the
people therein.
Since this paper touches upon many scientific terms, I feel that in
order for the reader to correctly grasp the content I must first define three
words: Theory, Law, and Hypothesis. The definitions will allow for a greater
understanding of this essay and give us an even ground upon .....

Factors Of Parasitic Virulence
Number of pages: 11 | Number of words: 2924.... parasites exhibit high levels of virulence within
their host populations while others exhibit low virulence? The two
prime factors most frequently cited (Esch and Fernandez 1993, Toft et
al. 1991) are evolutionary history and mode of transmission.
Incongruently evolved parasite-host associations are characterized by
high virulence, while congruent evolution may result in reduced
virulence (Toft et al. 1991). Parasites transmitted vertically (from
parent to offspring) tend to be less virulent than parasites
transmitted horizontally (between unrelated individuals .....

Supernova
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 696.... and the energy expended in ejecting material is much
greater even than this. In many cases, including the Crab nebula supernova,
the stellar remnant left behind after the explosion is a NEUTRON STAR--a
star only a few kilometers in diameter having an enormously large density
and consisting mainly of neutrons--or a PULSAR, a pulsating neutron star.
There are two common types of supernovas, called type I and type II.
Type I occurs among old stars of small mass, whereas type II occurs among
very young stars of large mass. It is not known how a small-mass star can
release the .....

Killer Bees
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 496.... limited to the southern and coastal states in the United States. They have hybridized to some extent with resident wild and hive populations of European honeybees. However, many of the basic African honeybee traits remain, including rapid population growth, frequent swarming, minimal hoarding of honey, the ability to survive on sparse supplies of pollen and nectar, and a highly defensive nature.
Africanized honeybees are more difficult to manage than European honeybees and produce less honey. The businesses of many beekeepers in Latin American countries have failed as a resu .....

Extra Terrestrial
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 404.... to the fact our society is gullible believing every myth that one might tell to another. This confidentiality only lead to more curiosity among the people.
So far, in spite of a concerted effort by not only the U.S. government, but other governments worldwide to discredit the whole notion of unidentified flying objects; in spite of the ridicule heaped on anyone who even hints they may have seen something remotely resembling a UFO; in spite of official debunkings and even threats, people still step out of the shadows of their own fear to tell their amazing stories.
