For example, the thieves are able to steal Scrooge's possessions because no body cares about Scrooge or his things. Also, the businessmen that Scrooge does business with regularly show no feelings about his death and go to his funeral simply for food. Dicken's shows a way to resolve the problem by simply treating others how you want them to treat you. Jordan connects Nick to Gatsby by bringing him to one of Gatsby’s parties with her, where Gatsby introduces himself to Nick. Jordan leads a careless life, one incident proving this is the scene where Jordan is driving Nick. Nick tells her, “You’re a rotten driver, either you ought to be more careful or you oughtn’t to drive at all” (Fitzgerald 63), Jordan responds, “I hate careles .....

.... I was first interested in the book by Anthony Burgess (which in my opinion, is equally as good as the movie). "" contains only a few of the element that can make a good film. One of them is the makeup. Alex and his gang (droogs) all where a makeup when they go out and do there thing. It gives them all a look of insanity and makes them look disturbed. I think that this was well done because it gives you a feeling of fear. Being afraid of a character in a movie is an excellent way to get to know them. Another element used is the script. Stanley Kubrick used the same specia .....

.... finds Oedipus and nurses him back to health. Eventually, Oedipus is adopted by the King and Queen of Colonus. When he grows up, unknowing of his adoption, he discovers his doomed fate from an Oracle. Seeking to escape it, he flees from Colonus. Once upon the road, Oedipus discovers his path blocked by a man, whom he perceives to be a robber. He kills this man, who turns out to be his father, and unknowingly fulfills the first part of the prophecy. Soon, he comes to Thebes, which is being terrorized by a terrible monster, the Sphinx. The Sphinx wanders the streets .....

.... up his literary art form. One thing that was interesting to mention is that I noticed when reading the story is the fact that the story is written in third person. The narrator is not actually in the story, merely telling us of the events, and yet we still get to see inside Lt. Cross’s mind to more accurately picture his feelings. The narrator also, although letting us see the innermost, personal thoughts of Cross, always refers to the Lieutenant as either "he,", "him," or "Lt. Cross," never speaking of him by only his first name, which may seem rather formal. Also, .....

.... cow that is a "valued companion" (text). This shows us that the girl can trust her rural friend while urban people cannot. Later the girl's past is shown to us and we can see how she is much more comfortable in nature. This is confirmed when the boy appears. Sylvia is terrified of him but later is interested in him because of his kindness. Because of Sylvia's bad urban history, she can see how wonderful rural life is and will not allow the boy to Eric Godsey corrupt her. She will not betray nature by helping the boy find the heron or by taking his money. She can see the differ .....
