Creative Story: Racing Along Walls
Number of pages: 12 | Number of words: 3100

.... the meticulous one, he continued his wipe and spray cycle for many hours to make sure his car was immaculate. As I turned one of the bolts clockwise to tighten it, I felt a sharp, searing pain on the upper portion of my hand. Instinctively, I swore, forgetting all the lessons on good manners my parents had taught me. I brought my hand up to inspect the wound but the darkness of the garage, the setting sun, and the little remaining light my car blocked made it so I couldn't see my hand at all. As I climbed out from underneath the car, I noticed that I was leaving a tra .....

Personal Writing: My Big Problem
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 602

.... think she's winning, and that I'm getting too easy, and she's too much for me. Sure it could work. But like I said I want to keep my "Macho man, don't mess with me" reputation, which I feel strongly about. Another thing I could do is simply help her whenever she does anything wrong. But the problem is, she does practically everything wrong. That can get very annoying, and could spark a match. And then I'm back to square one. One other problem I have with this solution is that virtually every time I try to talk to her, we get separated by my parents, who are always expect .....

The Orange Colored Sphere
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 593

.... into the end, inside of which several lumps overlap each other. The closest thing I can think of that resembles it is a thin person’s belly button. The way the outside of the orange feels is also interesting. When I first pick up the orange it is cool to the touch. The slightest squeeze will dent the surface, only to just spring right back into shape. I can feel those dime shaped dents easier than I can see them. The surface is also very slick. My curiosity gets the best of me and now it is time to cut the orange sphere into two halves. As I slice the orange I sm .....

Shattered Perfection
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 469

.... I liked and was good at a young age, which was good, but the bad side was that I was never able to change once I started, and being so young and fickle, that discouraged me from liking things that I could have later on. The pressure to be perfect in every way has always had an enormous impact on me. It has resulted in pressure I put on myself to be perfect, which has caused a lot of problems and stress in my life. If someone else pressures me in any way, negative or positive, it has a negative effect on me. This also never really resulted in much of what my parents wan .....

A Passage Of Time
Number of pages: 6 | Number of words: 1473

.... something that had always given Bradley a structure in his life, they had always maintained themselves as an unwavering constant. But most importantly, they were carried out slowly, and in the current times of speed and fast results, it was very reassuring to be able to take time to go through the routines which had been a part of Bradley's life for at least fifteen years, now. Bradley savoured his drink, choosing to drink it very slowly, as if in an attempt to slow down time. Bradley tried again to put words to the page, typing away furiously (certainly the ability .....

Creative Writing: Destroying Racism
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1128

.... it can happen anywhere. But this snow-covered house is still a reflection of America, white on top with a hatred burning underneath. I go to a college, where the races meet every day. Colored man helps white man; white man helps colored man. Doesn't sound right ? That's how bad our society has gotten. Disturbing? Of course. But what is more disturbing is, lately when these issues of racism have come up, there seems to be impatience and annoyance. "Does everything have to be racism?" people ask. And they're always complaining that "It's just a little thing." No, it's not. .....

Creative Writing: Sensory Writing
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 571

.... eating a hot piece of pizza. My mouth still has the pasty, saucy taste of the slice in my mouth. I look down towards the court where the players have now started shooting baskets. Their brightly colored uniforms stand out in the glare of the spotlights above. The court has a waxy look, like it was just swept, and the glass backboards, have a shine as bright as a new car. The band starts playing a song and the crowd swings their arms back and forth through the air. The mass of people moving looks like a field of wheat blowing in a spring breeze. A lady rubs up against me .....

Personal Writing: Museum Of Tolerance
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 833

.... never seen before but Coley pointed out most of them and explained what they were and what they were used for. It didn't take very long for our tour guide to show up and lead us to the main tour. There was a short, maybe 15 minute tour with a tour guide, then a two and a half hour audio tour. The tour guide led us to two doors and told us to choose one. Above each door was a label one with the word "prejudice" and one with the word "unprejudiced." I tried to go through the unprejudiced door only to find out it was locked. When I asked the tour guide why it was locked she .....
