Masters Of The Universe
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 668.... of the object in question(Intro. to Black Holes 1). The Earth’s escape velocity is seven miles per second(Intro. to Black Holes 1). This means that to leave the Earth’s gravitational pull, you must be able to travel at least seven miles per second(Intro. to Black Holes 1). To escape a black hole, your velocity must reach at least the speed of light(Intro. to Black Holes 1). Because the speed of light(186,000 miles per second) is not possible because you must have infinite force to achieve the speed of light, nothing can escape a black hole’s gravitatio .....

Do UFOs Exist?
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 652.... buried memories of alien encounters. There has never been physical
proof of any abduction yet to be provided.
The Roswell incident is now generally regarded as one of the most
important UFO events in history, an extensive review of the UFO literature of
the 1950s finds no mention of it beyond the first press accounts in early July
1947. The only know reference to it as a UFO crash was in a 1955 lecture by
broadcaster and UFO enthusiast Frank Edward. Even in the 1960s the UFO
literature mentioned it only three times, twice in both brief instances, in the
latter rathe .....

The Theory Of Evolution
Number of pages: 21 | Number of words: 5626.... the proteins, and the first complete cell was formed (Dawkins 16). According to evolution, this process was the beginning of life.
But, there are minimal chances that this organic soup would form. Consider the experiment of Stanley Miller. In 1953, Stanley Miller passed an electric spark through an atmosphere of hydrogen, methane, ammonia, and water vapor; an atmosphere similar to the so-called "primitive atmosphere." But, this produced only 4 out of the 20 amino acids essential to form life. Interestingly, though, Miller saved the four amino acids only by removing them fr .....

Black Holes 2
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 874.... happens, escape would require a velocity greater than the speed of light. No object can reach the speed of light. The distance from the black hole at which the escape velocity is just equal to the speed of light is called the event horizon. Anything, including light, that passes across the event horizon toward the black hole is forever trapped.
Using a small black marble as an example to represent the size that the Earth would become if it collapsed and became a black hole, Todd R. Lauer, of the National Optical Astronomy Observatories said, " Black holes are very messy eat .....

Cloning
Number of pages: 6 | Number of words: 1601.... on that he had replaced the genetic material of
sheep's egg with the DNA from an adult sheep, and created a lamb (Dolly), the
topic of cloning "created" many new questions of its own. None were as
controversial as: Will they apply this to humans as well? According to Dr.
Wilmut, the answer was "there is no reason in principle why you couldn't do
it"(clone humans), but he added, "All of us would find that offensive."(Wilmut
as quoted by NYTimes, Daniel Callahan, 02/26/97).
From an individualistic viewpoint, those in favor of cloning human
beings, do not see it as .....

Solar Energy: An Alternative Energy
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 290.... the visible energy
produced in the sun as a result of a constant nuclear fusion reaction that is
taking place. The amount of energy at the solar constant, which is at outer edge
of the earth's atmosphere, is two calories per minute per cm squared. A calorie
is the amount of energy needed to raise one gram of water one degree Celsius.
If we could efficiently harness the energy bombarding the earth for twenty-four
hours we could power New York for a year. Unfortunately the photovoltaic cells
that change the energy into electricity are so inefficient that it would take
twenty-fiv .....

Solar Oven
Number of pages: 1 | Number of words: 131.... to pass through, but not
allow it to escape. The charcoal cubes and shavings will absorb the heat in the
box and store the excess heat allowing the flow to continuously warm the oven.
The tin foil will reflect heat and subsequently heat up the oven. The
polyurethane material will trap the heat inside the oven. The mirrors will help
the heat stay inside the box.
Materials used:
Shoe Box
Tin Foil
Sheets of Glass
Charcoal Cubes and Shavings
Scissors
Glue
Knives
Polyurethane
Non-Glossy, Black Spay Paint
Four (4) Wood Pegs
Mirrors
Sealer .....

Natural Disasters
Number of pages: 10 | Number of words: 2589.... year is broken up into two seasons. They are referred to
as early season and late season. The early season starts June first and runs to
September 10. The late season starts on September 10 and runs to the end of
November. The date of September 10 is the midway point between the two seasons.
This is the date that separates early season from late season. This leads me to
what my research was about. I am writing about the differences between early
season and late season hurricanes and how they effect the variable that were
mentioned earlier in the paper. I feel that late .....
