The Ozone Layer
Number of pages: 6 | Number of words: 1504.... human regions experience less cooling at night than do dry
regions. Changes in both water and carbon dioxide play an important role in
climate changes. For this reason many scientist have expressed concerns over
the global increase of carbon dioxide in resent decades, largely as a result of
the burring of fossil fuels. In many other factors of the earth’s present
climate remain more or less constant, the carbon dioxide increase should raise
the average temperature at the earth’s surface. Because warm air can contain
warm water before reaching saturation than cooler air can, .....

A Big Problem: Shortage Of Fish
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 976.... waters will all be for nothing if re-opened because the same problem will happen again. Another concern is that the equipment that is used by the fishermen to catch the scallops not only do just that, but they also pick up everything else in their path. This has an impact on all marine life, particularly species such as sponges and barndoor skate which were almost forced to extinction because fishermen can't control what is being caught in the nets. The final concern is that reopening the waters that have been closed would set a bad example, by showing those involved t .....

Dinosaurs 2
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 940.... a meat-eater, its teeth were shaped in zig-zag form which allowed it to cut through meat like a steak knife (Benton 161). It mainly relied on its strength when catching prey. Because it could not swim, many of its prey would run for shelter into water. Also, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
was able to take big breaths due to lots of lung capacity, but it tired easily and could not put up much of a chase when its prey ran. (Monatersky 287).
The Tyrannosaurus Rex was an exciting discovery. It was found during the Bone Wars, a period when Paleontology was very popular and competit .....

The Peregrine Falcon
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1782.... too late.
The American peregrine's scientific name is Falco peregrinus anatum.
At one time, people called this falcon a duck hawk. That was a poor name,
since falcons aren't hawks and they rarely kill ducks. The American
peregrine was once found all across the eastern United States and southern
Canada. In the west, the species was found from Mexico to California. DDT
poisoning hit this subspecies the hardest. Even today, naturalists are
still working hard to save the American peregrine from extinction.
The smaller tundra peregrine (Falco peregrinus tundrius) lives .....

Bridging Technology And Academe
Number of pages: 16 | Number of words: 4303.... Internet technologies available to sociologists?, and; 3) How can faculty begin to integrate these technologies into their classrooms and research.
Key words: teaching sociology, information technology, on-line teaching
Introduction
Information technology is quickly becoming the hub of efforts within the higher education community. Indeed, colleges and universities have demonstrated a fierce rush to amass technological tools, and are only now addressing the possibilities for adapting them to academic use. Ideally, new networked information technologies, such as th .....

The Praying Mantis
Number of pages: 13 | Number of words: 3360.... common figure
given, though, is about 1800. The ways the Mantid's are classified in the
Animal Kingdom. There is agreement that the collection of mantid species make
up the Mantidae family of insects. The Mantidae family, in turn, is part of the
order/suborder Mantodea that includes a variety of mantid-like species. But the
existing literature does not reflect a clear consensus about what insect order
Mantodea belong in. Some have placed Mantodea in the Dictyoptera Order-with the
roaches. Others place Mantodea in the Orthoptera Order-with crickets and
grasshoppers. Finall .....

Bernoulli Principle
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 579.... and the angle of attack. P stands for the air mass density, V for the velocity of the air passing over the wing, and S for the area of the wing when viewed from above or below.
As the air flows over the wing producing lift, it grabs onto the wings surface and causes drag. Drag can be measured by the equation D=Cd 1/2 (pV2)S, much like the lift equation. The drag coeficent Cd is found, again, by determining the shape of the airfoil and then finding the angle of attack. Drag is less than lift up to a certain angle of attack. After that, the air encountering the surface o .....

Cisc And Risc Processor Technologies
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1812.... And also point the advantages and disadvantages of using this technology.
At the end of this report you will also be able to describe the major differences between a CISC instruction set and a RISC instruction set and list some key advantages and disadvantages of RISC as compared to CISC
2. Introduction
Speeding up a computer system involves many different strategies. By speeding up the input and output devices in different peripherals. But the most fruitful place to speed up the system is by designing a faster processor. This report will explain "CISC" and "RISC" .....
