The Play "Amadeus" Is Mainly Concerned With The Destructive Nature Of Jealousy

successfully earns any, he spends it on lavish food and clothes immediately,
instead of saving it. He spends all his time churning out music in final
copy, which, although beautiful, doesn't earn money as would teaching music.
Mozart is really the one who should be jealous, as he has little in the way
of money or assets, or even respect. All he has is his talent and his
priceless music, but not the sense he needs to capitalise on it.

The Character Of Macbeth

ambitions seem like they could be reality. The war hero becomes a murderer and
then dies a shameful and violent death. Shakespeare creates an atmosphere of
evil and darkness mainly through his language, although scenes containing
violent actions or the witches are often played in darkness. Shakespeare uses
poetry (verse) as opposed to prose, as poetry often contains more metaphors and
imagery, which he used to create a feeling of darkness and evil. The language

Ambiguity And Equivocation In Macbeth

possibly committed murder for the sake of advancement before. Macbeth
provides further support for this in his reaction to the witches' prophecy
that he will be king. After Macbeth is made Thane of Cawdor, he realizes
that the witches were right, and immediately begins to ponder the other
part of their prophecy. "My thought, whose murder yet is but fantastical,"
(I.iii.153) he thinks, bringing murder to the front of his mind almost as

Tragedy In Oedipus Rex

other characters in the story realize that Oedipus actually did murder
Laius and that Jocasta is indeed his mother as well as his wife. This
occurs rather quickly, very close to the end of the play.
The audience sees this coming long before it actually does, however. In
one of the passages of Oedipus speaking with Jocasta, just about
everything is spelled out for us. Jocasta speaks of Laius leaving the
castle with just a few servants and his being killed where three roads
meet. Oedipus claims that he killed somebody where three roads met, who

Medea: Looking For Revenge
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 963.... choose a husband, and had to be represented by men in all legal
proceedings. In some ways, these Greek women were almost like slaves. There is
a definite relationship between this subordination of women and what transpires
in the play. Jason decides that he wants to divorce Medea and marry the
princess of Corinth, casting Medea aside as if they had never been married.
This sort of activity was acceptable by Greek standards, and shows the
subordinate status of the woman, who had no say in any matter like this.
