Hamlet: Duplicity
Number of pages: 9 | Number of words: 2210.... I know not `seems.'
(1.2.76). This is to say "I am what I appear to be." Later In Act I,
Hamlet makes a clear statement about his state when he commits himself to
revenge. In this statement the play makes an easy to follow shift. This
shift consists of Hamlet giving up the role of a student and mourning son.
Hamlet says,
"I'll wipe away all trivial fond records, All saws of books, all forms,
all pressures past, That youth and observation copied there, And thy
commandment all alone shall live Within the book and volume of my brain"
(1.5.99-103).
Hamlet is declaring .....

Analysis Of Albee's "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?"
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 758.... poignant. This, in turn, increases the intensity of the insults
between George and Martha. For them prodding is a game of one-upmanship
with words their only weapon. As the play progresses the implications of
this become increasingly serious.
In an epic, Abrams explains that the "fate of a tribe, a nation, or
the human race" lies in the out come of the hero's battle. The battle
between George and Martha only affects their relationship and on this night
spills into the lives of Nick and Honey. Drunkenness exaggerates their
actions, so that the extremes of the situat .....

The James Bond Phenomenon
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 668.... about watching all these James Bond movies, but they
were all good. Sean Connery Played a nice cool, slick James Bond, well so did
the others but he was better at it because he naturally is cool and slick.
Pierce Bronsman played also as a cool, slick James Bond, he really looked like
he was a spy, he kept his cool, I really liked that scene in Golden Eye when he
is at the tanks of fuel where the satellite comes out of the water and they are
shooting at him and there is sparks right next to his eye and he keeps on doing
what he is doing. Talk bout a great and intense scene .....

Essay About Criticism Of Shakespeare's Plays
Number of pages: 8 | Number of words: 2158.... made this idea their
primary focus in interpretations which often ignores the feminist and class
conscious theme that are also present in King Lear. Most recent critical
essays of King Lear do make note of the class struggle within the play; however,
critics tend to ignore the gender struggles which upon thorough reading are
clearly as obvious as the class issues. I have chosen an interpretation of King
Lear from 1960, by Irving Ribner and set it in contrast with a 1991 review by
Ann Thompson. There are some interesting points made in both essays and some
stark differen .....

Interpretation Of Ibsen's "A Doll's House"
Number of pages: 5 | Number of words: 1316.... This inferior role from which Nora progressed is extremely important. Ibsen in his "A Doll's House" depicts the role of women as subordinate in order to emphasize the need to reform their role in society.
Definite characteristics of the women's subordinate role in a relationship are emphasized through Nora's contradicting actions. Her infatuation with luxuries such as expensive Christmas gifts contradicts her resourcefulness in scrounging and buying cheap clothing; her defiance of Torvald by eating forbidden Macaroons contradicts the submission of her opinions, including the .....

Hamlet: Was Hamlet Insane
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 696.... he is putting on an act. Another big factor that suggests that Hamlet is only pretending is that he only manifests his “madness” around certain characters. These characters would be Polonius, Claudius, Gertrude, Ophelia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. His “madness” doesn’t come out around Horatio, Bernardo, Francisco, the players or the gravediggers. At one point Claudius himself admits that Hamlet’s “actions although strange, do not appear to stem from madness” (internet, Hamlet, pg. 1-2). Polonius also admits that Hamlet’s actions and works have a “method” (internet, Ha .....

The Big Chill: Symbolism
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 393.... lives was dead, or frozen.
This could refer to Alex, who had killed himself. Or it could refer to
their friendship, which pro bably dwindled down from an occasional phone
call to a seasonal letter or card, and eventually to virtual non-
communication.
The title could even have yet another "hidden" meaning. It could
refer to the group's total loss of communication with Alex. This could
have led to the point where nobody was able to see anything wrong with him,
because they just were not a round to. Chloe, Alex's girl friend, probably
did not notice because she d .....
