The Story Of Oedipus
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 451.... King Laius was an enemy.
Queen Jocasta wasn't exactly guiltless, either. The great Queen had also
tried with King Laius to kill their son, and had no respect for the prophecies
of Apollo: "A prophet? Listen to me and learn some peace of mind: no skill in
the world, nothing human can penetrate the future." She was also the other half

of Banquo. It wasn't really a ghost because everyone can see ghosts and Macbeth
was the only one who really saw Banquo. This shows that his mind was playing
tricks on him because he felt guilty. To me his feeling guilty showed that he
still cared a little for those he loved but then again if he cared .....

Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 1015.... England. Often people read the
play and automatically conclude that Macbeth's tragic flaw is his ambition;

However, by carefully examining the first act, one can determine the defect in
Macbeth's character that creates his ambition; his true tragic flaw. Macbeth's
tragic flaw is not his ambition as most people believe, but rather his trust in
the words of the witches and in his wife's decisions.
At the beginning of the play Macbeth has no designs on the throne, and
he does not start plotting unt .....
