Blacks Treated As Lower Class Citizens
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 1071.... she comes up with still another child to abort or support, But none
of this is 'Negro-ness'" (Griffin 92). This quote shows that the blacks were
deprived of an education, and a good education is usually a symbol of middle- or
higher- class citizen. "They are so close to their ancestors learned to read and
write at the risk of severe punishment, that learning is almost a sacred
privilege (Griffin 125)." This quote shows how the whites had deprived them of
an education for many centuries. The quote also shows how an education is a
privilege for a lower class citizen and is take .....

A Civil Rebuttal
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 766.... philosophy, it becomes not only my
benefit, but a mutualism between us.
Please feel more than obliged to correct me if I am incorrect (morally
or politically) but are we not all philosophers ourselves? As a baker's
vocation is to bake, a philosopher's vocation is to think. Is it not that we
all think? I was deeply saddened at your comments in the oppression and
restriction to what I may or may not strive to think. As a pacifist and non-
sadist, I call what you believe in as ‘ingraining or indoctrination', whereas
our own society may call it ‘brainwashing'. Our human na .....

Rights, Responsibilities, And Growing-up
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 394.... or uncle, older brother, or friend, that “A gun in the hands of a young person” is probably the most effective tool available for teaching personnel responsibility, sportsmanship, safety, ethics of hunting, and the achievement of marksmanship, and much more. For many young people being allowed to own a firearm is a maturing experience. For example, the trust given to a son or daughter is very important, because that means that a parent knows their child will always do the right thing when it comes to safety and responsibility.
When I think my child is old enough and able to .....

Colonial Super Mom
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 692.... child which was extremely good for that time period. It was also due to uncontrollable circumstances like disease. This is a formidable feat especially compared to today’s standards. Along with maintaining her own children she also brought other children into the families of others.
The midwife today is not so important as it was two hundred years ago. Back then it was the highest paying job for a female. Martha in her life time birthed over three thousand babies. She received generous amounts of money doing this and also made many friends. As a woman it was hard to earn money .....

Jesus And Youths In America
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 832.... scare kids into behaving so they do not go to Hell.
The latent function is that it is a slap in the face to every Easterner who has
conducted themselves in a productive and positive manner. Many of the Christian
right I am sure do not realize how offensive the notion is that Christianity is
the only faith to recognize that killing and stealing are bad.
What exactly are the "norms" that are so exclusive to Christianity? The
Christian world is more afflicted with crime than Singapore ever will be, just
take a walk through the super Catholic ghettos of Buenos Aires.

Multiculturalism In The United States
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 774.... is better or
worse than another. USA is different from other countries because that in
this country are living representatives of all cultures. It is normal to
meet people from all over the world in most every city; what is not normal
is the idea of understanding that a lot of people are Americans, people
born and raised in the US. These citizens might not seem to be Americans,
but they are as American as any American.
Ronald Takaki in his essay, “An Educated and Cultural Literate
Person Must Study America's Multicultural Reality”, gives an excellent
example of what I mean .....

Justification Of Violence
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 999.... are held at gunpoint, knife, tied or beaten by their attackers, and this
is not right. Any woman under these circumstances should fight back and do what
they have to do to save themselves before it's too late. Other situations which
call for justifiable violence, in my opinion, are robbery at gunpoint and any
other type of unprovoked violence.
Other than self-defense, I do not believe violence should be tolerated at
any cost. Hitting children when they do something "wrong" is not justifiable.
I believe that if a child does something their parents don't want the .....

Communication With Teenagers
Number of pages: 7 | Number of words: 1925.... moves from one piece of furniture to the
next. The sister is eyeing the brother, who is younger by a few years and
at least five inches shorter than her. The brother is eyeing the sister
now and at times glancing at the television. The sister wears a frown as
she sits down and the brother has a blank, half-smiling, almost mocking
look upon his face as he stares at the sister.
The sister’s tone of voice is sarcastic and she appears to be
irritated simply by his presence. He begins to talk to her from the chair
across the room. “You didn’t do your dishes!” he declares, loud .....
