Appearances - A Universal Concern
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 982.... seen as repulsive in another. The gangster
with tattoos all over his body, clothed in attire that is much too large, with
rings in all the most unexpected places, and sporting an outrageous hairdo,
considers himself very attractive indeed. Yet, so do the tall, smartly dressed
businesspersons with their suit, tie, and white handkerchief. Men and women of
the Victorian era, when women's ankles were not even permitted to be exposed,
would surely be shocked at the revealing outfits that have been donned by
members of today's society. In other words, one's perception of beauty is

72 hours. The tests sometimes last seven to eighteen days. Reactions to
the subezces include swollen eyelids, ulceration, bleeding, swollen irises
massive deterioration, and blindness. During the tests, rabbits eyelids
are usually held open with clips, because of this, many animals try to
break their necks a .....

Family, Marriage, And Gender Roles
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 718.... one-parent families to the inexplicable
situation of two partners of the same sex. What happens to a society where the
nuclear family is no longer the dominant configuration? Only time will tell.
Being brought up in a traditional environment, I have very conservative
views on the concept of a family. When I was young, my Mother did not work.
She would stay at home with me until I was about thirteen years old. I feel
that, if possible, a mother should stay home with her children. In my eyes, the
main responsibility of a Mother is to furnish her children with as much

Censorship On Televison
Number of pages: 3 | Number of words: 682.... freedom of speech, press, and religion are our constitutional right.
Somewhere along the line, someone had the notion that Americans are not smart enough to view “questionable” and “objectionable” material. Censors were instituted to tell the general population what should and should not be viewed and thus began this
travesty. Government organizations, such as the FCC, routinely and systematically subjugate and suppress the freedoms that we have to express ourselves as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Censors edit radio broadcasts, discriminately place “black-bars .....

The Importance Of Tradition In Belizean Society
Number of pages: 2 | Number of words: 411.... . . . . .LOSS OF CULTURE.
During this period we lost our identity almost entirely. We became like the characters of the novel "Animal Farm" who hated the humans and all they that they did but after they chased them out and became their own masters they adapted all the same customs that the humans had had. We rejected Europe's influence because we gained independence but we welcomed it from the US.
Most, if not all, of the ethnic groups in Belize abandoned their customs, traditions and blindly followed anything western.
Today the Mayas are the only ethnic group left in Belize .....

The Art Of Raising A Child
Number of pages: 4 | Number of words: 856.... the opposite of what we intended?
The most important rules of parenting are often unknown, or overlooked:
1. Respect Your Child. Treat your child the way you want to be treated. The fact that Tommy's body is smaller doesn't make him less of a person. He has feelings, concerns, and opinions. Value, don't invalidate them. No child is ever too small to deserve your respect.
2. Grant Your Child the Right to Own. Once you have given Tammy the doll, it is hers--irrevocably! Let her toss it, drown it, sever its head. Do not force her to share it. How would you like to have your toy ta .....
